- Introduction/Review of prior work (3-4 slides)
- Overview of research program (1 slide)
- 2-3 Aims – major, independent areas
- 1-2 slides per Aim. Descriptive visuals, not too much detail
- Teaching, DEI (if active) (1 slide each)
Background: Give just enough information, so people who do not attend oral presentations can still understand specific aims. Give enough in the background to excite the search committee. List of specific Aims: Usually use 3 specific aims, scope 2-3 years: doable, 5 years = somewhat risky
Funding: Representation of funding that you are going to acquire. You should have a 5 year plan (timeline), timing of undertaking aims and what types of funding you want.
